What boonvid does

You upload a script and a voiceover. boonvid builds a finished video from them: footage, photos, maps, titles, subtitles, music, cut to your words. You get the video as a file you can download, together with the list of sources and licences used in it.

Who may use boonvid

• You must be at least 18 years old, or of full age in your country of residence if that is higher.
• If you use boonvid for a company, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that company to these terms.

Your account

You sign in with your email address and a code we send you, or with your Google account. When you create your account, with your email address or with Google, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (see “Who may use boonvid”); without this confirmation no account is created. If your account was created before we asked, you confirm it once before your next order. If you buy without an account, you confirm it before the payment form opens. One account per person or company. You are responsible for what is done with your account and for keeping your email access safe. You can have your account deleted at any time by writing to hello@boonvid.com.

What you upload

• You must have the rights to the script and the voiceover you upload, and to any material you ask us to include. You keep all rights to them.
• You allow us to use your uploads only to build, check and deliver your video and to let you download it.
• We do not use your scripts, voiceovers or videos to train AI models.
• How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. If you use boonvid for your business and your uploads contain personal data of other people, we process that data on your behalf under our Data Processing Agreement; for business customers it forms part of these terms.

Music you upload

Only upload music you have the necessary rights to use in your video, including commercial use where applicable. You are responsible for permissions and licence fees. boonvid does not obtain licences for customer-uploaded music and, to the extent permitted by law, is not liable for claims arising from your failure to obtain those rights.

This includes rights in both the musical composition and the sound recording, and permission to combine them with video and publish the result on your intended platforms. You authorise us to process the uploaded music solely to provide the service. Uploading music to boonvid does not grant you any additional rights in that music. Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Rules for content

• Before an order is accepted, the script is checked automatically. Never accepted: sexual content, incitement to violence, terrorism or extremism, graphic violence, hate against protected groups, harassment or doxxing of named people, instructions for self-harm, defamation or deepfakes of real people, fraud, sale of illegal goods, election or health disinformation, piracy. Depending on the context we may also refuse: ongoing wars and active conflicts, current party politics, candidates or campaigns, promotion of gambling, alcohol, tobacco, vaping or cannabis, medical, financial or legal advice with promises of results, and religion that denigrates others. You see the reason; if you think the check was wrong, write to us and a person reviews it.
• No unlawful, defamatory, insulting, hateful or pornographic content, and no content that infringes someone's rights.
• No deepfakes and no other synthetic depictions of real people without their express consent.
• Footage and photos from the libraries can show recognisable people. Your script decides the context in which they appear. Do not use them in a way that demeans or insults these people or places them in a context they would object to. This rule comes from the licence terms of the libraries.
• No content aimed at children in a way that requires special protection.
• We may refuse or remove orders that break these rules and close the account.

The finished video

• You may use the finished video for any lawful purpose, including commercially, on any platform, within the licences of the material it contains.
• Footage, photos and any music supplied by boonvid come from licensed libraries. Customer-uploaded music is governed by the section “Music you upload” above. The libraries’ licence terms are listed with every video and are part of these terms. Some sources require attribution; the list shows where.
• We cannot guarantee that platforms (for example YouTube Content ID) will not still report claims against your video. If that happens, write to us; we help you with the licence list.
• boonvid is software, not a publisher: you are responsible for the statements in your script and for how you publish the video.
• You can download the finished video for 30 days after it is ready; after that the download is withdrawn, so please save your video in time. Your uploads and all files of the order are deleted automatically 90 days after delivery (or 90 days after the order was created, if it was never delivered). On request by email we delete them earlier.

How boonvid uses AI

• boonvid plans and cuts your video with the help of AI: it chooses and places footage and checks the result.
• boonvid does not create synthetic people and does not generate AI voices.
• Every finished video file carries a machine-readable note in its metadata: “Created with boonvid - AI-assisted editing (footage selection, placement and checks)”.
• Every video is checked automatically before delivery (footage licences, picture-to-text match). If a check fails, the video is rebuilt; if it cannot be delivered, the minutes are not charged.

Plans and prices

Prices are in US dollars. Where we offer a plan in euros, visitors from Europe see it in euros at the same amount (for example €22 instead of $22). You pay in the currency shown in the order summary and in the payment form; that is the currency charged. They are net prices: the VAT or sales tax of your country is added on top and shown to you before you pay (see “Taxes”). A “minute” is a minute of finished video, measured from the length of your voiceover.

• Minutes are valid for 30 days from the payment that booked them. Unused minutes expire; they are not paid out.
• Monthly plans renew automatically each month until you cancel; cancel at any time, the plan runs to the end of the paid month.
• Annual plans are a 12-month commitment billed monthly ($239 for Creator, $559 for Max). The commitment ends after the 12th payment and then continues month to month until you cancel. Cancelling earlier does not end the commitment: the remaining monthly payments of the 12 stay due.
• Free first video: one trial per account, up to two minutes, with a watermark. No card required.
• Early-access offer: 20 % off the first monthly payment of Creator or Max, once per email address, with the personal code sent on launch day. Not for annual plans or Flex, not combinable with other offers, valid until October 27, 2026.
• Prices may change for the future; a running paid period keeps its price.

How the contract is made

• On the plans page you choose a plan or a minute package. A summary shows the price, the billing period and the conditions.
• Before the payment form opens, you confirm the two statements on the immediate start of the service (see “Right of withdrawal for consumers”). Then the payment form of Whop opens. Until you press the payment button you can correct every entry there, or close the window and start again.
• By pressing the payment button you make a binding offer; the contract is concluded when the payment has been accepted. We confirm your two statements by email as soon as you have ticked them, with the plan and links to these terms and the withdrawal instructions; Whop sends you a receipt for the payment.
• We do not keep an individual copy of the contract text for you. These terms stay available on this page; the version you accepted is recorded with your confirmation. You can print this page or save it as a PDF.
• The free first video needs no payment: that contract is concluded when you submit the order.

Payment

Payments are processed by Whop, Inc. Whop's terms apply to the payment.

Taxes

• Our prices are net. For sales to customers in the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union, Whop, Inc. is the merchant of record for the tax: it calculates the VAT or sales tax of your country, adds it to the price, collects it with the payment and pays it to the tax authorities. Whop’s receipt shows the tax.
• You see the total including tax before you pay: on our plans page for the country you visit it from, and in the payment form for your billing details. The amount in the payment form is the amount charged.
• The tax is calculated on each payment and rounded to the cent. Annual plans are paid in 12 monthly payments; the tax is added to each of them.
• Businesses with a valid VAT ID can enter it in the payment form. No VAT is then charged (reverse charge); the business accounts for it itself.
• For customers outside these regions, no tax is added to our prices.

Right of withdrawal for consumers

• If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. The full instructions and a model withdrawal form are on the page Right of withdrawal.
• boonvid delivers a digital service right away. That is why, before the payment form opens, we ask you to expressly request that we start the service and make your minutes available before the withdrawal period ends, and to confirm that you know you lose your right of withdrawal once the contract has been performed in full, and that if you withdraw earlier you pay a proportionate amount for the minutes you have already used. We record your statements with the time and the version of these terms and confirm them to you by email.
• If you withdraw, the unused part of your payment is refunded. Minutes you have already used are charged proportionally.

Refunds

• Outside the right of withdrawal, minutes that have been used are not refunded.
• Minutes that could not be delivered because of a failure on our side are returned to your balance with their original validity. If that has already run out, write to us and we credit them again.

Cancellation

• Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time for the next period. Monthly plans run to the end of the paid month; for annual plans the 12-month commitment described under “Plans and prices” applies.
• You can cancel on the page Cancel contracts here. It is linked in the footer of every page and works without signing in. Enter your name, the email address of your account and the contract, then press “Cancel now”. Unless you choose a date, we cancel at the earliest possible date. We show the confirmation on the page and send it to you by email, with its content, date and time.
• You can also cancel by email to hello@boonvid.com.
• The right of both sides to terminate for good cause remains unaffected.

Availability

We build videos as fast as we can. We do not guarantee a delivery time. If a video cannot be built, you get the minutes back.

Liability

• We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz), and where we have given a guarantee.
• For slight negligence we are liable only if we breach an essential contractual obligation — an obligation that makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on which you may regularly rely. In that case our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract.
• Otherwise our liability is excluded.
• If you are not a consumer, our liability for slight negligence is in addition limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event.

Reporting rights infringements

If you believe that content on boonvid infringes your rights, write to hello@boonvid.com. Please name the work, say where the content can be found, and show that you hold the rights. We check every report and remove content that infringes.

Complaints

If something is wrong, write to hello@boonvid.com — we answer. We are not obliged and not willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. You will see the new version before it applies to a new purchase; running subscriptions get 30 days' notice by email.

Language

These terms are available in English and German. Both versions have the same content. For consumers in Germany, the German version is authoritative.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, and disputes are heard by the courts of Wyoming. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country with mandatory consumer protection, those protections remain in force and you may also bring a claim in your own country.
