Privacy Policy

This page explains what happens with your data on boonvid.com before launch. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past. The controller is:

What we store when you join early access

• Your email address, the language you chose, the time you signed up, and the status of your launch offer (your personal launch code, whether it has been used, and whether you have unsubscribed).
• Your IP address is not stored. A salted hash of it is kept for at most 24 hours, only to stop automated signups.
• A delivery log for the emails we send (sent or failed, and the provider’s message id) — without the content of the email.

What we use it for

• To send you two emails: a short welcome note when you sign up, and the launch email on September 27, 2026 with your personal launch code. Nothing else is sent unless you ask for it separately.
• To apply your launch offer at checkout: the code belongs to the email address that signed up and is checked against it.
• To keep the signup form free of bots (rate limiting, honeypot field, minimum fill time).

Legal basis: your request when you sign up (consent, which you can withdraw at any time) and our legitimate interest in keeping the service free of abuse.

Who processes data for us

• Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting of the website and the database (Cloudflare D1). Cloudflare operates a global network; the database for boonvid is kept in Cloudflare’s infrastructure under a data-processing agreement.
• Resend, Inc. — delivery of our emails, from the European region (Ireland), under a data-processing agreement.
• At launch, payments will be handled by a payment provider (Whop). Its own privacy terms apply at checkout, and we will update this page before that.

We do not sell data, and we do not share it with anyone else.

Cookies, analytics and advertising measurement

Your language and appearance settings, and your cookie choice itself, are kept in your browser (local storage and one cookie, bv_consent, 180 days). That is all the site needs, and it needs no consent.

One optional service runs only after you accept it in the cookie banner or under “Cookie settings” in the footer. Until then nothing is loaded from them:

• Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) — anonymised statistics about how the site is used: pages, device type, country, referrer. IP addresses are shortened. Cookies _ga, _ga_* (up to 2 years). Google may transfer data to the USA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time under “Cookie settings” in the footer. Withdrawing stops it on this device and deletes its cookies where we can. Without consent the site works exactly the same.

How long we keep it

• Your early-access record is kept until 90 days after the launch offer ends, then deleted.
• If you unsubscribe, we keep only your address in a suppression list so that we do not write to you again. Tell us if you would rather have it removed entirely.
• The email delivery log is deleted after 90 days.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, withdraw your consent, or object to processing. Every launch email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. Write to hello@boonvid.com; a person reads it and answers.

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. Nothing in this policy limits the rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

International transfer

Firehorse Media LLC is a company in the United States. Data you give us may be processed in the United States and in the European Union. Where required, transfers are covered by the processors’ standard contractual clauses.
