Arcade challenge: participation terms

The arcade challenge is an optional mini-game of boonvid (Firehorse Media LLC, see the imprint). These terms apply in addition to our Terms of Service. How we handle data in the game: Privacy Policy.

In short

• Practice: free and endless, no rewards.
• Waiting area: 50 points = 5 free minutes, 100 points = 10 free minutes, once a week.
• Website: 50 points = a code for 10 % off the first month of Creator or Max (monthly). Up to 3 codes per customer.
• Validity: codes 90 days, one use each. Minutes 30 days.
• Free to play, no purchase needed, no chance involved. Rewards only for signed-in accounts, 18+.

Who may take part

• Rewards are only for holders of a boonvid account who meet the age requirement in “Who may use boonvid” of our Terms of Service: at least 18 years old, or of full age in your country of residence if that is higher. One account per person.
• Only rounds of the weekly challenge count, played in the official game on boonvid.com while you are signed in when the round starts. Practice rounds have no rewards and are not sent to us. Without an account you can try the weekly challenge on the website up to 3 times per visit, without rewards.

Free minutes in the waiting area

• 50 points: 5 free video minutes. 100 points: 10 free video minutes.
• One reward per calendar week and account (Monday 00:00 to Sunday 24:00 UTC, ISO week). The two do not add up.
• Only in the waiting area, and only while one of your orders is queued or being built when the round starts. Your free test video counts.
• The minutes are credited to your balance and are valid for 30 days like other minutes. No cash value, no payout, not transferable.

Discount codes on the website

• From 50 points you can reserve a personal code: 10 % off one monthly payment, the first month of a Creator or Max monthly subscription that you buy with it. Not for yearly plans or Flex packs.
• Up to 3 codes per customer, each from its own round with at least 50 points. Each code is a separate discount for one monthly payment; codes are not added together.
• You enter the code in the payment form of Whop, Inc. when you buy; the discount is shown there before you pay.
• Each code is valid for 90 days, until the end of the date shown with it (UTC), and can be used once.
• Personal: use it for your own purchase and do not pass it on. Not combinable with other discount codes or offers. No cash value, no payout, not exchangeable for cash or minutes.

Leaderboard

• Two views: this week and all time. Only signed-in players can see the leaderboard.
• Every signed-in player with a weekly challenge round that passed our check is ranked by their best score: more points first; on a tie, whoever reached the score first is ahead.
• It shows the top 10 and, below them, your own place among all players.
• Your first name appears only if you switch it on; otherwise your row says “Player”. “Hide my name” removes the name at once; your score stays in the ranking.
• The leaderboard has no effect on rewards.

A game of skill

Your score depends only on how you play. No reward depends on chance; there is no draw, no lottery and no stake. The challenge is not gambling. No purchase is required to play or to take part: practice and the weekly challenge cost nothing, the free test video counts as a running order for the minutes, and the website codes do not require a purchase to be unlocked.

Fair play

• Scores must be reached by you, playing yourself in the official game. Bots, scripts, automated or modified input, modified game files, replayed or forged rounds, and several accounts of the same person are not allowed.
• We check every round automatically before a reward is granted. A round that does not pass the check does not count.
• If we find misuse, we may refuse or withdraw the rewards obtained with it (minutes not yet used, codes not yet redeemed) and exclude the account from the challenge. You can ask for a review by a person at hello@boonvid.com and state your point of view.

Changes and end

• We may change the challenge and its rewards, or end it, at any time with effect for the future.
• Codes you have already received remain valid until they expire, under the conditions shown when you received them. Minutes already credited stay in your balance under the usual rules.
• If your account is deleted, unused codes and unused minutes from the challenge lapse.

Liability and governing law

The rules on liability, complaints and governing law in our Terms of Service apply: these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country with mandatory consumer protection, those protections remain in force and you may also bring a claim in your own country.
